Trump's policy on Covid-19 is now clear - Brutal Herd immunity. With total chaos in America under Trump's rule & country busy in elections, people did not had the time to grasp the significance of this. America, a modern industrial & technological super power has capitulated and surrendered against public health crisis. A crisis which could have been easily managed, controlled & resolved with proper Government policy & planning. Think for a minute, America is a country with grass roots of industrial revolution, a country which was instrumental in defeating Hitler & Fascism, a country which put man on the moon, a country which put land rover on Mars surface, a country which has the strongest military in the world, a country which is highly advanced in field of Medicine, Biotechnology, semi conductors, Artificial Intelligence & all the rest of scientific fields.     Trump as a wrecking ball demolishing traditional American Political and Democratic system. US elections are now underway with early voting and elections will be concluded by next month. I do not feel need to explain all the bungling, corruption and illegalities of last 4 years of Trump. Trump is a chaos President, a Dark Triad personality and a failure on every front - from economy to foreign policy, from mismanagement of pandemic crisis to wrecking the healthcare system - Trump is wrecking ball who has destroyed everything in America. Modi government is implementing harsh austerity drive in India and lack of fiscal support to states & local governments in this time of Covid-19 induced economic depression has created chaos in many public institutions. Here i just like the highlight the case of Bara Hindu Rao Hospital. Its the biggest Municipal Hospital in North Delhi & has been at forefront of fight against Covid-19 pandemic along with other Government Hospitals in Delhi. But now the Hospital has stopped treatment of Covid-19 patients as Doctors, Nurses & other hospital staff have gone on Strike. Reason - Non payment of salary since last 4 months. But this is nothing new. With 2020 elections just few weeks away, politics in America is getting more complicated. The death of SC justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has exasperated instability in US supreme court (already controlled by GOP inclined judges) and raised the stakes of 2020 elections. The simple fact of 2020 elections is the urgent need to kick madman Trump out of White house. RBGs death has complicated US political situation on two fronts. Firstly, its obvious that Trump regime is now deeply unpopular & hated and likely staring at election defeat. Hence, Trump & his plutocratic backers want to take over Supreme Court to maintain a degree of power after Trump is gone. Secondly, fight over SC judge nomination is also an opportunity for failing Trump to attack & destabilize Biden campaign.   In wake of RBG's death, Democrats should adopt a simple strategy - Division of Labor. I wrote an article on what Central Govt needs to do on Budget making in this pandemic emergency. But our Politicians, Ministers, Policy makers & Policy advisers have very different view of the economic situation. For Modi Govt, the economic shock which India is facing is just a discrepancy of numbers.
